Why stay at Casa Bonaire?

Staying with us means getting away from the hustle and bustle while beaches and shopping are close by. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood 4 km north of Kralendijk and has a spacious garden with many ‘old-growth’ exotic flowering trees. In the garden you can relax in a hammock in our new Palappa (garden house) or enjoy your evenings on the terrace after a full day traveling around the island!

The apartment has a separate bedroom, a sitting area and a spacious porch (terrace) furnished with a comfortable dining table. The apartment is suitable for two adults. There is cable tv, free wifi, ceiling fans, airco and a safe. The sleeping area has two separate box springs size 90x200cm and the kitchen is fully equipped for four people. The spacious bathroom has a hot water shower.

Cleaning is done once a week, including changing the sheets and towels. Pets and smoking are not allowed.

About us

Owners

We, Loek and Helene Smit, are the lucky owners of these beautiful apartments. While living in Curaçao we built Casa Bonaire and we have been visiting Bonaire many times for holidays. Bonaire is a gorgeous island and completely different from Curaçao. After living in the Caribbean for well over 13 years, we have returned to the Netherlands in 2012.
We, Loek and Helene Smit, are the lucky owners of these beautiful apartments. While living in Curaçao we built Casa Bonaire and we have been visiting Bonaire many times for holidays. Bonaire is a gorgeous island and completely different from Curaçao. After living in the Caribbean for well over 13 years, we have returned to the Netherlands in 2012.

Host

Welcoming you at Casa Bonaire is our host Joy Koning and she will make you feel right at home. Our host will take the time to make you familiar with the surroundings and she will do what she can to make your stay pleasant and relaxing.

We speak Dutch, English, German, Spanish and Papiamentu.

Prices

Price $65 per night

Minimum stay of five nights. You will receive a discount for stays longer than 8 days. Long stays (more than 8 weeks) are negotiable.

NOTE: 
As of July 1st 2022, a tourist tax of $75 per visit to Bonaire applies to all non-residents aged 13 years and older. The tourist tax can be paid online in advance or alternatively upon arrival directly to the government.
